Beresford’s Bar

A Lake District bar and restaurant is on the market for £1.2 million.

Beresford’s Bar in Windermere has been put up for sale by owner Graham Bowness, who wants to retire after 21 years.

The venue, on the corner of Lake Road and Beresford Road, is being marketed by Christie & Co.

The dining area serves 50 covers and external patio can seat a further 20 people. Its basement bar seats up to 30 people.

The property also contains two two-bedroom apartments on the first floor.

Marslie McGregor, pubs & restaurants agent at Christie & Co, said: “This is a rare opportunity to acquire a trading business with residential accommodation in one of the UK’s most sought-after locations.

“Windermere and Bowness attract thousands of tourists every year. I have no doubt that this site will be of interest to someone wishing to establish a restaurant/bar in a popular tourist area, or an investor looking to expand their portfolio.”

Beresford’s Restaurant & Bar is on the market with a freehold asking price of £1,225,000.

Alternatively, Beresford’s Restaurant and Bar is available to buy without the apartments for £675,000.
