
A teenager and a man in his 20s were taken to hospital after a workplace incident in West Cumbria.
Emergency services were called to Inkerman Terrace in Whitehaven today.
Cumbria police said they were called at around 3pm by the North West Ambulance Service.
They said the boy was taken to hospital with injuries described as not life threatening.
The man suffered minor injuries.
The Health and Safety Executive has been made aware of the incident. police added.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service said it was called at around 2.55pm and described it as an industrial incident.
The service added: “We had a doctor and paramedic on board our aircraft and they arrived on scene at 3.14pm.
“Our team worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat two patients.
“One patient has been airlifted to hospital by our team and one patient has been taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service road crew.
