South Cumbria’s St Mary’s Hospice has been awarded almost £4,000 to expand its therapy services.
The cash, from The Medicash Foundation, has allowed St Mary’s to buy resources supporting three key therapeutic approaches: Wellbeing and Memory Boxes, No Barriers Here (arts-based advanced care planning), and complementary therapies.
The hospice said they will play a vital role in tailoring therapy to meet the individual needs of patients.
Lynsey Lawson, compassionate communities lead, said: “We are incredibly grateful to The Medicash Foundation for their support.
“This funding helps us offer meaningful and personalised therapies that support patients’ emotional and physical wellbeing, especially at the most vulnerable times in their lives.”
