A team of six fundraisers have raised over £26,000 for a South Cumbrian hospice by trekking to Everest Basecamp.
They undertook the challenge of a lifetime for St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston.
The team were Paul Haythorn, Phil Blaze. Dave Laurie, Mike Brown, Mike Lewis and Scott Johnston.
“We are absolutely blown away by what this team has achieved,” said Mel Dixon, events manager for St Mary’s Hospice.
“Their commitment, fundraising efforts, and passion for supporting the hospice are truly heart-warming. Every penny raised will go toward helping us continue to provide vital end-of-life care across our area.”
The expedition was organised by LMG Treks and Expeditions.
