People visiting the Lake District today are warned that Windermere is likely to be extremely busy as the Windermere Marathon takes place today.
Windermere Marathon and the Great North Swim are scheduled to be held today, Sunday June 15 and there will be a number of road closures in place.
The marathon will start in Waterhead on Borrans Road, just outside Waterhead car park, at 8.30am and finish at the Great North Swim site at Brockhole on Windermere.
