A technical issue which had impacted the non-emergency 101 number has been resolved, Cumbria police said.
Work was carried out to address the issue which affected non-emergency calls only this morning, Wednesday June 18.
Emergency 999 calls were unaffected and continued to be answered.
Police thanked people for their patience.
