Ellis Brigham is set to open its first Lake District store this week.
The award-winning outdoor retailer will open in Kings Head Court in Keswick on Thursday, July 10.
And there’s a treat in store for the first 50 customers through the door, who will each receive a free gift.
Ellis Brigham is also planning to kick off its first month of trading with a series of complimentary events.
Store manager Jon Raven said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our new store and can’t wait to share our enthusiasm for getting outdoors alongside our local knowledge and more.
“Pop in for advice, a chat, a fitting or just to browse. If you have a favourite bit of kit that has seen better days, you might want to come to our repair day on Saturday July 26 or join us on a guided hike on Saturday August 2 or a guided run on Sunday August 3.
“We’re looking forward to laying down some new roots in Keswick.’

Who is Ellis Brigham?
Ellis Brigham began life in 1933 in a small shop on Conran Street in Harpurhey, Manchester.
Their founder, Frederick Ellis Brigham, quickly established himself as the person to visit to get boots expertly made and fitted.
Growing the business from bootmaker to outdoor retailer, Fred focused on stocking top-quality kit to help his customers get the most from their time in the hills.
His ethos of outstanding service, twinned with a strong sense of community, continues to drive the company today.
You can find Ellis Brigham shops nationwide, led by friendly and knowledgeable staff who understand your needs because they love the outdoors too.
The family-owned company prides its self in connecting individuals with the best gear and advice to make time outside unforgettable.

Their events calendar runs throughout the year, with talks, workshops, and on-the-hill activities chosen to enhance your skill set.
They know first-hand the benefits of spending time in nature and want everyone to be able to experience the outdoors, now and for the generations ahead.
From improving accessibility to reducing their environmental impact, they focus on projects that support people and the planet.
They work with brands, charities, and ambassadors who share their values.
The new Keswick store opens this Thursday, July 10, 9am to 6pm.
