Resurfacing work will begin this week on a West Cumbrian road.
Contractors are set to start on Overend Road in Hensingham, Whitehaven tomorrow, Thursday July 10, to carry out remedial work.
The work is scheduled to take two days, weather permitting.
Overend Road will be closed to traffic between 7.30am and 5.30pm.
Signed diversions will be in place.
There will be no on-street parking between 7.30am and 5.30pm and people are asked to remove their vehicles before 7.30am.
Pedestrian and emergency access maintained at all times.
Vehicle access for residents and businesses will be maintained only when it is safe and practical to do so during the work, Cumberland Council said and people are asked to liaise with on-site traffic marshals.
The authority added: “We’d like to note these remedial works are at no cost to Cumberland Council or the taxpayer.”
