Tuesday evening saw a 3 grade meeting take place at Moss Peteral for the first time this season where 31 hounds turned out.

A field of 12 took to the trail for the Seniors. Sportsman for Willie and Craig Mark was sent off as the favourite.

Reports came in as they crossed the road before they dropped onto the finish and Sportsman was leading the way from Hey Mac for Neil and Gillian Brown, Derrick and Joel Bullman, Millie’s Lass for George McGimpsy, and Gillian and Millie Telford, Flightline for Sarah White and Millie’s Lad for George McGimpsy and Gillian and Millie Telford.

As they showed onto the finish Sportsman finished to claim his ninth Senior win of the season ahead of Flightline in second and Millie’s Lass in third.

Up next were the Pups with five lining up at the slip. Table topper Delta Fortune for Sarah and Baz Harper and Hartley Robinson was sent off as the favourite.

Throughout the early stages of the trail it was litter mates Delta Fortune and Deggsy Moon for Tracey, Carolyn and Derek Hill who were leading from Denton Adonis for Lee, Hayley, George and Joey Wall, Sandra Mordue and Ted Storrows and TikTok for Anna and Kerry Lindsay, and Janie McAuley with a small gap to Stretch for Malcolm Holmes.

The hounds can be seen going past the trail field at the half way point and leading the way was still Delta Fortune who had a small lead on Denton Adonis but Delta Fortune began to pull away as the race furthered.

Deggsy Moon finished in fourth and the final ticket went to Stretch.
