Emergency services were called after a two-vehicle collision near Carlisle.
The incident happened on the B5307 Kirkbampton to Fingland road, west of Carlisle at around 4.45pm yesterday, Friday July 11.
Our colleagues at Cumbria Road Watch said the Great North Air Ambulance Service was called to the scene.
The road was closed for several hours and drivers were asked to seek an alternative route where possible.
