The A591 was closed in both directions near Grasmere following a collision yesterday.
The incident, which involved a motorcycle, happened close to the Traveller’s Rest Inn.
The single-vehicle collision was reported to police at 3.55pm yesterday, July 11.
The A591 was closed in both directions from Swan Lane to The Yan and motorists were asked to avoid the area.
The road reopened at around 8.30pm.
