Police are investigating a robbery and assault near a derelict Cumbrian hotel.
The incident happened in the area of the Gilsland Spa Hotel, near Brampton.
It is reported to have involved two groups of men. Four of the men suffered injures and damage was caused to a vehicle.
Cumbria police said investigations were ongoing by detectives, who are conducting a number of enquiries.
The hotel has been closed for a number of years. It was up for auction in December, but went unsold.
Cumbria police said: “The hotel is currently derelict and contrary to some speculation there is no information to support that it is being used or is intended to be used as an asylum seeker hotel.”
