From there, Mitchelhill took control, claiming the third frame with relative ease and then dominating the fourth to ensure match victory.
Mitchelhill then rounded off the performance with a fluent 31 break in the fifth to wrap up the match 4-1 overall and move above Chapman in the Division One league standings.

The match started brightly for Smith, who claimed the opening frame with a composed display. However, it proved to be his only success of the evening, as Hunter found his rhythm and took command from the second frame onward.
The home player bounced back immediately, registering scores of 48-35 and 57-33 in the next two frames to seize the lead.
Hunter’s potting consistency and tactical precision left little room for Smith to respond. Frame four saw Hunter rack up 64 points to Smith’s 41, before closing out the match with a strong 66-31 finish in the fifth and final frame.
A Stephen Harrison delivered a dominant 4-1 scoreline over Paul Smith in very closely contested match.

Harrison recovered the momentum, to take the third and open a lead once again. With the match nicely poised, the final two frames became the most dramatic of the encounter, with both being decided on the final black.
It was Harrison who held his nerve to capture them both and maintain his slender lead over Smith in the league standings.
