
Train passengers will continue to experience delays today in the the aftermath of Storm Floris.
Services run by TransPennine Express, Avanti West Coast and Northern were cancelled in the North of England yesterday, Monday August 4, due to the storm which brought high winds to the region.
Today, Tuesday August 5, TransPennine Express is advising people not to travel before 9am between Carlisle and Glasgow Central and between Carlisle and Edinburgh as a precaution.
It said morning services may be impacted as it worked to restore the full timetable.
Avanti West Coast and Northern services appear to be running as normal.
