
Reform UK has won three seats on Barrow Town Council.
Two by-elections were held yesterday, Thursday August 7, for Barrow Island and the Risedale ward.
There were two seats available in the Risedale ward and one seat for Barrow Island.
The results are as follows:
Barrow Island
Turnout: 20.33%
- Nathan Holmes, Reform UK: 162 votes
- John McDonnell, Conservative Party: 39 votes
- David George Schofield, Labour Party: 120 votes
Ballot papers rejected: 1

Risedale ward
Turnout: 16.40%
- Therese Mary Assouad, Labour Party: 179 votes
- Anne Bispham, Conservative Party: 76 votes
- Sienna Zan Churcher, Reform UK: 414 votes
- Sonjie Marshall, Conservative Party: 68 votes
- Colin John Rudd, Reform UK: 414 votes
- Karl Anthony Scrogham, Labour Party: 177 votes
- Ethan Jack Weir-Preston, Liberal Democrats: 47 votes
