The Cumberland Building Society’s Rosehill branch in Carlisle will close for a revamp.
The branch will close from 4pm on Thursday, August 28, for the work to be carried out and reopen at 9.30am on Monday, September 15.
The society said it will carry out some redecoration and install screens.
Lewis Benson, area manager of the branch network, said: “We’re celebrating our 175th birthday this year and a part of that is our commitment to branches as part of our ‘Kinder banking’ purpose.
“For our Rosehill branch, this means the opportunity to invest in its interior with some upgrades to the décor, to improve the overall experience for our customers for years to come.”
Staff will be temporarily transferred to English Street and Kingstown branches while the revamp is carried out.
Lewis added: “When the branch reopens, hopefully customers will appreciate the work we’ve done, but the main thing they will notice is that our team is back in place and eager to resume helping customers with our award-winning customer service.”
The Rosehill branch opening hours will remain unchanged and will continue to serve the public as usual following the work.
The work follows the recent refurbishment of the Cumberland’s branches in English Street, Egremont and Preston.
