A new drive-thru Starbucks could be coming to Carlisle.
Plans have been submitted this week for the coffee chain for a vacant site to the rear of IMO car wash off London Road.
The development would include a 20-space car park, including two disabled spaces and two electric vehicle charging points.
The planning application for the 2,176sq m site said: “Starbucks acknowledges the relationship between coffeehouses and the business community, encouraging customers to linger in their stores by providing free Wi-Fi along with additional plug points for laptops and hand-held devices.
“Vehicular access to the site will be provided via a new site entrance from the existing private road and the car parking and vehicle charging is intended to work with the functional requirements of Starbucks and its drive-thru.
