Solfest music festival is set to return for its 21st year this month.

Taking place from August 21 to August 24 at North Lakes Country Park, near Aspatria, this year’s headliners are Newton Faulkner, Doves, Leftfield and The Hoosiers.

Also on the bill are The South, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Oh My God it’s the Church, This is the Kit, Stereo Mcs and Beans on Toast.

A festival spokesman said: “We can’t wait to open our festival gates for all our guests. There’s going to be loads of things for families to get involved in from live entertainment, stalls, fun fair and much more.

“The predicted weather looks great also. Our festival is aimed to be a part of our community and Cumbria’s brightest and best music and arts festival.

“We are delighted that Solfest once again returns with another delightfully diverse and exciting range of artists who will grace this year’s main stage.

“Run by a dedicated team and a small army of volunteers, Solfest has stayed true to its anti-corporate roots.

“This means that art and decor take the place of ubiquitous advertising and the international big names on the main stage and don’t drown out the voices of the hidden gems.

“This year will also see a large marquee for our festival families to enjoy should the weather conditions change.”
