
A rum butter festival will be held in Whitehaven next month.
The event, in the town’s Castle Park, will take place on Saturday, September 13 from 10am to 5pm.
Organised by TEGretail,it will feature rum butter making and baking competitions and entertainment.
Chef Jon Fell will give a cookery demonstration and families can enjoy pirate-themed fun including a treasure hunt in the park.
Over 20 traders will also attend.
Anyone wishing to enter the baking competitions can drop off their entries between 11am and 2pm in the main tent on the day of the festival. It is limited to one bake per person per competition. Pre-registration is not required.
