The bomb squad were called out to deal with a suspicious item found on a West Cumbrian beach.
Millom and Furness Coastguard rescue teams were alerted to the item on Drigg beach yesterday, September 3.
The teams located the item and provided a safety cordon while demolition by the army’s bomb squad took place.
