A weekend of music will be held at Holker Hall & Gardens.
Following the success of last year’s one-day Shire Yard Sounds, the event has been expanded to two days.
The hall’s 19th century Shire Yard will be transformed into an outdoor performance space with hay bales and open skies for two days of live performance instead of one this year.
On Saturday, September 6, the programme will be headlined by The Jim Templa Band.
Gates open at 4pm and admission is free. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own chairs to enjoy the relaxed, open-air setting, or pull up a bale to experience that full festival vibe.
Food will be served by Aupa Street Food.
On Sunday, September 7, Flookburgh Brass Band will take to the Shire Yard stage.
The performance forms part of their final fundraising push before representing the area later in the month at the National Championship of Great Britain Third Section Final.
Fran Horne, head of visitor services at Holker Hall & Gardens, said: “Shire Yard Sounds has become one of our most enjoyable traditions. It’s a chance to see the
Shire Yard come alive in a different way, with fantastic live music, street food and a welcoming community atmosphere.
“We’re delighted to welcome The Jim Templa Band and Aupa Street Food on Satiurday, we can’t wait to see people enjoying the evening together.
“Flookburgh Brass Band on the Sunday will have a real community feel as we all show our support for a local institution doing us proud on the national stage.”
