Man injured in Barrow assault and reports of threats made with knife

A man has been arrested after reports of an assault and threats made with a knife in Barrow.

Police are appealing for information about the incident, which happened at around 11pm on August 22 in Drake Street.

A man, in his 30s, suffered facial injuries as a result.

Police are investigating the report of assault and a person being threatened with a bladed article.

A 20-year-old man, from Barrow, was arrested on suspicion of threatening with bladed article in a public place. He was subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

There are three more people involved in the incident who, at this time, remain unidentified, police said.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with information about this incident to get in touch.
