There are some familiar names to Cumbrian rugby league fans among the Championship and League One top scorers this year.
Heading the Championship try scorers is Edene Gebbie, now with Doncaster, but who was with Whitehaven last season.
Gebbie, along with Ben Jones-Bishop of York City Knights have both scored 26 tries.
The Papua New Guinea speedster didn’t exactly set the place alight last season with his performances but there were flashes of his potential.
In League One, Workington Town’s Jake Carter finished as top goal-kicker with 68 and he was also the division’s top points accumulator with 161.

Jacob Hookem, of Dewsbury, who finished second in both sections (57 and 134) will be remembered for a loan spell from Hull with Whitehaven in 2022 when he played six times.
Third in the goal-kicking list is Dan Abram, of Swinton Lions, who finished the season on loan with Whitehaven.

He kicked 44 goals, with the majority coming for the Lions before his switch to the Cumbrians for his second spell.

Fourth leading kicker was former Barrow favourite Jamie Dallimore of North Wales Crusaders who kicked 43.

He also finished third in most points with 98.
