Young Farmers Club members strip off for charity calendar

A group of young farmers have stripped off to raise money for a cause close to their hearts.

Kent Estuary Young Farmers Club will launch their 2026 naked charity calendar, Kent Estuary Bares All, this month, with all proceeds raised going to cancer and bereavement charity CancerCare.

Several members were willing to undress in aid of CancerCare, an independent charity that provides complementary therapies and free counselling to people affected by cancer, life-shortening illness and bereavement.

CancerCare has four centres in Kendal, Barrow, Lancaster and Morecambe and it costs over £1.8 million per year to keep their doors open, making fundraisers such as this one essential to their survival.

Kent Estuary YFC secretary Eve Bland has led the project alongside the club’s chairman, Ben Handley.

The photographs were taken by Cumbrian photographer Helen Mitchell-Hunter, and each month is sponsored by a local business.

Ben said: “This calendar is about more than a few cheeky pictures – it’s about showing what the true spirit of Young Farmers is.

“Kent Estuary YFC has always been about supporting each other and standing up for causes close to home.

“By supporting CancerCare, we’re helping friends and families who may be going through some of the toughest times of their lives.

“We want to say a huge thank you to Helen, our brilliant photographer, for capturing the fun and spirit of the shoot; to our incredible members who quite literally stripped away their nerves for the camera; and to our generous sponsors for making the project possible.

“We hope everyone enjoys the calendar as much as we enjoyed making it and, most importantly, that it raises a fantastic sum for CancerCare.”

Eve added: “When we first talked about creating a naked calendar, we knew it would have to be very special. Kent Estuary Bares All is our way of celebrating the memory of a truly special former member who meant so much to us all.

“CancerCare offers vital support to many local families, and it feels right to give something back to a charity that makes a real difference every day. By purchasing this calendar, you’re not only supporting a great cause, you’re standing with those facing some of life’s toughest challenges.

“We’ve had so much fun (and a few chilly moments!) putting this together, and I couldn’t be prouder of the members for being brave enough to bare all for a good cause.”
