Workington Speedway and the Cartmell family have announced the second team to line up for Jay’s 4-team memorial meeting.

It’s the final meeting of the season at Northside’s GT Tyres Arena on Saturday, September 20 at 3pm.

The Blaze Bandits will feature:

  1. Comets’ own flying Finn Antti Vuolas might prove to be the hardest man to beat at the GT Tyres Arena on the day. (Sponsored by Bryan Wilcock)
  2. The 23-year-old Danish Rider Kevin Juhl Pedersen makes his debut on British shale at the GT Tyres Arena. He has been riding on the continent in Poland, Sweden and Denmark and finished 5th in 2022 SGP2 Series. (Sponsored by Fleatham Farm Meats)
  3. 2024 Comet Paul Starke returns to Workington. He has ridden for Poole this year and has helped them into the play-offs. (Sponsored by Paul Tremble)
  4. Sam McGurk makes his return to Workington and spent a lot of time with Jay in 2024 as he was starting his speedway career. Jay himself said Sam is like a big brother. (Sponsored byTeam TK)
  5. Reserve: Belle Vue Colt Jack Shimelt has shown in some recent practices and NJL meetings at the GT Tyres Arena he knows the fastest way around the big tracks. (Sponsored by Les & Michelle Cartmell)

The Comets and the Cartmell family have thanked all the sponsors whose support has made this special meeting possible.
