
Around 400 people attended protests in Carlisle city centre yesterday.
A peaceful protest was organised by Enough is Enough Carlisle and a counter-protest staged by Cumbria Against Racism on Saturday, September 13.
Police launched an operation to control the event.
Enough is Enough Carlisle say they set up to reflect the concerns of the people of Carlisle.
A moment of silence was held at the event for American Christian activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on Wednesday.
Three people were arrested during the protests in what police are calling an isolated incident.
