
A collision at a level crossing on the Cumbria Coast Line resulted in several trains being cancelled and delays.
It is understood a van was involved in the incident at around 2.15pm at Braystones yesterday, Saturday September 13.
It involved the 1.25pm Whitehaven to Barrow service. It is understood there were seven passengers on the train, who had to disembark at Braystones.
No one was injured.
The train was not derailed but the lines between Corkickle and Barrow are blocked.
The disruption continued until around 9.30pm.
The cause of the collision is under investigation and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch has also been informed.
People using the level crossing at Braystones call the signaller for permission before crossing the lines.
