
A man who died in a three-vehicle collision on the A66 in West Cumbria has been named.
The collision was reported at around 10am on September and involved a grey Volkswagen Golf, a Scania HGV and a blue Volkswagen Caddy panel van.
It happened between Bridgefoot and Broughton Cross.
John Toynbee, 65, of Cockermouth was the driver of the Volkswagen Golf, and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.
The driver of the Volkswagen Caddy van was taken to West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven for further assessment and has been discharged.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
