
A man has appeared in court following a house fire in Carlisle.
James McGlinchey, of Denton Street, appeared before magistrates in Carlisle yesterday, September 23.
Police and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to a fire in Denton Street on Monday, with an investigation launched into the circumstances.
McGlinchey, has been accused of arson with intent to endanger life; arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered.
He is due to appear at a pre-trial plea hearing at Carlisle Crown Court on October 27.
McGlinchey was remanded in custody.
