A man has been jailed after police stopped his vehicle and found cocaine.
Christopher Turnbull-Allen, 39, of Westgarth Court, Kirkby Stephen, was stopped by members of Cumbria police’s Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team on Wednesday, October 1.
A search of his vehicle by officers recovered a quantity of cocaine and arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs.
Turnbull-Allen was sentenced to 12 months in prison today at South Cumbria Magistrates Court.
Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This is a positive result and a quick turnaround from initial stop to the sentence handed out at court today.
“Eden NPT will continue to target those who deal drugs. We have contempt for the act of criminality, which has no place in our communities.
“If you suspect criminality is taking place in your neighbourhood then we want to hear from you so we can take action.”
