
Two men were set to appear in court yesterday following a break-in at a Lake District bike shop.
Shortly after 1am on Saturday, a report was received of men having thrown a brick through the shop window of E-Venture Bikes in Keswick, police said.
Police attended and chased a vehicle north on the A591.
The vehicle was stung near to the Castle Inn before the vehicle came to a stop at Threapland.
The driver and passenger were arrested.
Ashley Queen, 36, of no fixed address and Keith Gillan, 45, of no fixed address. have been charged with burglary and are due to appear at Workington Magistrates’ Court yesterday, October 6.
