Three people have been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and shoplifting in Kendal.
Cumbria Police stopped a vehicle at Sainsbury’s in Kendal, on Shap Road, at around 9.40pm yesterday.
Inside the vehicle officers recovered a large amount of meat and other products.
The driver was subject to a drugs wipe, which they failed for cocaine.
The three occupants of the vehicle – two men and a woman – were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop.
The driver was further arrested for drug driving.
All three remain in police custody this afternoon, Thursday October 9.
