A man was assaulted and threatened with a knife in a Carlisle park.
A suspect has been arrested and is in custody following the incident yesterday in Melbourne Park.
It happened between 7.40pm and 8pm and took place on the footpath near the small bridge across the river.
The victim said a man and a woman were walking nearby with a dog. He asked them to the ring police before fleeing.
Police said they were extremely keen to speak with the dog walkers as key witnesses.
