A car that had been abandoned in a Cumbrian village had been stolen from Manchester.
Eden police said officers found the vehicle, which had no number plates, on land near Culgaith, a village near Temple Sowerby.
Eden police said: “The vehicle was identified from the vin/chassis number and showed it had been reported stolen from Manchester.
“The vehicle was recovered and enquiries are continuing.”
