Police are investigating reports that a dog was dangerously out of control in Carlisle on Sunday.
Officers said they had been called about the dog, in the Currock area, on Sunday, October 26, at around 7pm.
They are appealing for anyone who may have seen the dog to get in touch.
The dog is described as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Bulldog cross breed which was sandy in colour.
