
A Carlisle man has been banned from city supermarkets for three years.
Matthew Thompson, 31, has been handed a criminal behaviour order by magistrates following an application by Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team.
The order was secured on October 29.
Thompson must not:
- Enter any Morrisons within the city of Carlisle.
- Enter any Aldi store within the city of Carlisle
- Enter Central Avenue and the streets surrounding it.
Thompson appeared at court where he was sentenced to two weeks in prison for theft, failing to surrender and resisting arrest.
Anyone who witnesses the terms of the order being broken to contact the police immediately.
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
Anyone who witnesses Thompson breaching the terms of his order should contact the police.
