A man in his 80s was taken to hospital following a collision on a Kendal road.
Police said emergency services were called to the junction of New Road and Bridge Street at around 10.45am yesterday, Wednesday November 6.
The incident involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, who police said was a man in his 80s.
The road was closed for several hours and drivers were advised to take alternative routes.
Long delays were being reported and the roads were congested.
