Flood warnings in force for Cumbria

Flood warnings and alerts have been issued for Cumbria as heavy rain continues to fall across the county.

The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for persistent and at times heavy rain today, Thursday November 13.

Here’s more information about the Met Office’s weather warning.

Flood warnings have been issued for Cumbria.

There are now three flood warnings in place across the county.

Flood warnings mean flooding is expected.

Flood warnings

  • Keswick Campsite
  • River Eden at Carlisle, Rickerby Park, Swifts and Stoneyholme Golf Courses
  • River Eden at Warwick Holmes

Flood alerts

10 flood alerts are in place for Cumbria.

This means flooding is possible.

  • Lower River Eden
  • Middle River Eden
  • River Rede
  • Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster
  • Rivers Caldew and Petteril
  • Rivers Cocker, Marron and Derwent
  • Rivers Esk and Irthing
  • Rivers Lowther and Eamont
  • Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water
  • Upper River Eden

  • River Caldew and Eden at Carlisle, Willowholme, Caldewgate, Shaddongate
