Plans for 33 new homes in Wigton have been revealed.
Genesis Homes, which is headquartered in Penrith, has submitted a planning application for the development on land off Kirkland Road.
Twenty per cent of the estate will be designated as affordable housing.
If its application is approved by Cumberland Council, it is hoped that work will start next summer.
John Blue, land director at Genesis Homes, said: “We are proud to be continuing our investment in Wigton following the success of St Cuthbert’s, which was very warmly received by the local community.
“This new development on Kirkland Road has been carefully designed to provide a high-quality living environment that not only delivers a wide choice of homes but also creates spaces that bring people together. From book-sharing points to communal benches and natural play features, we want to help foster a real sense of community for residents of all ages.”
