Emergency services attended a crash on a Lake District road.

Cumbria police said it was called out at 10.30am to a collision involving two cars on the A591 between Grasmere turn off, Rydal, and Under Loughrigg, White Moss.

Both directions on the road are still being reported as blocked and traffic remains slow in the area.

Officers said nobody is believed to have suffered any life-threatening or serious injuries.

The North West Air Ambulance also attended the incident.

It said two ambulances were sent alongside an urgent care vehicle. One person was taken to Keswick hospital and another to Lancaster.

Drivers should avoid the area where possible.
