Two people were taken to hospital after being assaulted by a man with a knife.
A 45.year-old man has been arrested following the incident in Brentfield, Penrith.
Cumbria police said officers were called to an address at 4.16am yesterday, November 27.
The force said the offender was reported to be known to the victims.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He was taken to hospital having also suffered injuries.
He remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in a stable condition.
The two occupants of the address who suffered injuries in the incident were treated at hospital but have since been released.
Police would like to appeal to anyone with information which may help to come forward.
