
Hundreds of homes are still without power this morning after Storm Bram battered Cumbria with high winds.
The county suffered a day of torrential rain – although not as bad as originally predicted by the Met Office.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind until yesterday at 11.59pm, Tuesday December 9.
The Met Office said: “Storm Bram will bring a spell of strong south to south westerly winds during Tuesday afternoon, evening and night.
“Peak gusts of 60mph to 70 mph are expected fairly widely, but gusts of 70mph to 80mph are possible on exposed coasts and high ground.”
SP Electricity North West said there were hundreds of homes without power in Cumbria this morning, Wednesday December 10.

- Blindcrake – 45 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Above Derwent – 13 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Langwathby – 9 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Sebergham – 20 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Dean – 9 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Loweswater – 4 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Yanwath & Eamont Bridge – 18 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Aspatria – 10 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Aspatria – 3 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Cleator Moor – 9 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Askerton, Carlisle – 14 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
- Mungrisdale – 7 properties affected. Estimated time of restoration 6pm
