Drivers have been urged to take extra care tonight as high winds batter Cumbria.
Cumbria police said there had been a number of reports of debris on roads.
The force added: “Agencies are working to remove obstacles such as trees from roads – but motorists are asked to drive to the conditions and stay alert.
“During storms, sudden gusty winds can unsettle vehicles.
“Motorists are advised to keep their speed down, stay focused on the road ahead and give other road users more room.”
