Police are investigating four burglaries in three days in Grange.
Officers are urging people to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
Detectives said burglars forced entry into properties.
It is not currently known what, if anything, was taken.
Officers would like to remind residents to ensure their windows and doors are locked when houses are not occupied, and consider the use of lights on timers or sensor lights. Those with CCTV or video doorbells should ensure they are working correctly and are signed up to Connect Cumbria.
Residents who have witnessed anything suspicious or those who have CCTV or door cameras that have captured any suspicious activity, are asked to report this to police.
Anyone with any information relating to reports of burglaries in the area should contact 101, report online via www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it or contact Crimestoppers totally anonymously on 0800 555 111.
