Cockermouth Travel has embarked on a new chapter.
The established travel firm, which is one of the largest independent travel agents in the UK, has revealed it has appointed a new management team.
Nicola Fowler is now manager of the Main Street store, which is now part of the Travel Network Group.
Cockermouth Travel was set up in 1980 by the Cusack family and many of the 10-strong team will be familiar faces to customers, having worked there for 20-plus years.
Together, they offer 150 years of combined industry experience.
And Nicola is a well-known face across West Cumbria and brings with her more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry.
She has worked with a number of respected travel businesses.
Nicola said: “I am truly delighted to be stepping into the role of leading this fantastic team and becoming part of a such a well known respected name here in Cockermouth.”
Bethan Pollard has been appointed as assistant manager.
Bethan is a long-standing and much-loved member of the Cockermouth Travel family, and her promotion marks an exciting next step in her career.
The team recently travelled to Bristol to attend the TTNG Conference.
Cockermouth Travel’s Evie Skelton won the Rising Star of the North award in recognition of her outstanding sales achievements over the past year and also travelled to Canada earlier in the year as part of the VIP Club.
