A man will appear in court in connection with an incident in Barrow on Tuesday.
Mohammed Faqiri, 27, of Cambridge Street, Barrow, was arrested following a report that a man aged in his 30s had suffered serious injuries following an incident outside a house on the street.
Faqiri has been charged with GBH and possession of a bladed article and is due to appear in Barrow Magistrates Court today, December 18.
The injured man remains in a stable condition in hospital this evening, with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are continuing to urge anyone who witnessed the incident – or the moments leading up to it – and has yet to come forward, to do so.
