The final tickets for music festival Kendal Calling have sold out in 12 hours.

The 40,000-capacity festival had already sold 98 per cent of its tickets and the final tickets went on sale yesterday, Wednesday December 17.

It means it has consecutively sold out for 21 festivals.

The music festival, which will take place from July 30 to August 2 at Lowther Deer Park, near Penrith, will see Two Door Cinema Club, Biffy Clyro, Wolf Alice and The Kooks headline the main stage.

Andy Smith, founder of Kendal Calling said, “It’s the greatest Christmas present of all! To have gone out with tickets in the morning morning and be sold out by the evening is truly incredible.

“Each year, the demand for the show grows but this is the first time we’ve sold out in a day which is really something.

“We often say it but the heart of the festival really is the audience and the community that breathe life into these fields each year – we can’t wait to welcome you all back for the next adventure!”
