Kirkby Lonsdale buildings destroyed and damaged by a devastating fire can be rebuilt.
In December 2024 a fire broke out and destroyed 13-15 Market Street.
Ben Taylor, 45, owner of GR and RD Taylor General Store and Army Surplus on Market Street, died in the blaze that started in the early hours of December 8.
The fire directly impacted more than 100 residential properties and 84 business properties in the area.
Plans by Messrs Taylor, Taylor, Robinson and Baines were lodged with Westmorland and Furness Council to rebuild 13-15 Market Street as well as the refurbishment and restoration of the Market Hall and rebuilding of associated rear extension.
The plans have been approved by the authority.
