
Left arm seamer Thomas Kirk has signed with Penrith as the 1st XI overseas amateur for the 2026 season.
A New Zealander, Kirk is currently playing for United Cricket Club in Palmerston North, and Manawatu – New Zealand’s form of minor counties.
Kirk has also represented first class side Central Districts at Under-17s and Under-19s and in his most recent game took 3-33 for Manawatu in a 20-over Chapple Cup tie.
He will be in Penrith for the start of the new season in April when the Palace Shield top Division, now known as the Palace Shield Amateur Championship gets underway.
Penrith start with a home game against relegated Vernon Carus when the rest of the opening day games see Lancaster host Netherfield 2, Mawdesley will look to bounce back as they host Westgate. Eccleston welcome Heysham, Buneside visit Torrisholme and Fylde travel to Garstang.
