The family of a woman who died in a crash in West Cumbria have paid tribute to her life.

Lauren-Emily Oliver, of Whitehaven, was taken to hospital after the collision at Moor Row on Thursday January 8, but sadly died in hospital.

Her family said: “In the early hours of Thursday 8 January 2026 our beautiful, kind, talented Lauren-Emily Oliver was a passenger in a tragic car incident.

“Rest in peace our beautiful baby girl. Dad and grandad, Mia and Luna your fur babies, will be there waiting to go for a walk with you.

“This isn’t goodbye, it’s just until we meet again. Jessica, Lee, Laura, Courtney , Kimberly, Nanna J, Layla , and me (mam) will hold your memories, laughter and pictures close in our hearts. Love you to the moon and beyond.”

The collision involved a black Vauxhall Corsa.

Anyone with any information relating to the collision is asked to report online at  www.cumbria.police.uk/report-it – quoting incident number 17 of 8 January 2026. Or call 101.
